Sahuarita Sewer Assistance Program
You may qualify for assistance to help pay your sewer (wastewater) bill if you are a Sahuarita resident and are a customer of the Sahuarita Wastewater Utility.
To be eligible for the subsidy program, you must meet the following guidelines:
• Have an active residential account with the Sahuarita Wastewater Utility
• Complete the Valley Assistance Services’ application
o Provide a current sewer bill in your name
o Provide proof of furlough – if you are a federal employee
o Provide picture ID and Social Security Card
For Federal employees, Proof of furlough (federal employee) is needed.
For Sahuarita residents, income is considered the combined income of all persons who live in the home, including but not limited to:

How much assistance will be provided?
Assistance is contingent on funds being available in the Town’s budget. This program will pay for current monthly sewer charges up to $100 per bill for a maximum of three consecutive months. ($300.00) Person/household must apply in person at the Town Hall during this time, to have any applicable late fees and interest charges be waived. Eligible customers may only participate in this program once in any 12 consecutive months and may reapply thereafter.

Call Valley Assistance Services at 520-625-5966 to make an appointment.
You will need to bring your documents, picture ID and Social Security card to your appointment at Valley Assistance Services. At the time of your appointment, you will be notified of your eligibility.
