Valley Assistance Services is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We are meeting with clients by appointment only, ensuring proper social distancing.
We are increasing all electronic and phone communications, connecting with persons with limited socialization or networks of support. Our highly skilled Registered Nurses are continuing to contact and triage clients by phone, making certain that seniors and families are linked with as many resources as possible.
Please call Valley Assistance Services if you have a need. If you know someone who has a need, please reach out to them to call us.
We are continuing transportation for essential trips, and increasing the amount of errands.
VAS’s MAP (Monetary Assistance Program) will begin the COVID-19 Relief Program soon.
Volunteer- Especially as an errand driver. We need volunteers to pick up prescriptions, groceries, etc. for the home-bound or ill. These can be delivered in a completely hands-off way, by leaving the item(s) on the porch and ringing the client’s doorbell.
Be a caring neighbor. You can do this at any time. Call or e-mail the people in your life who are isolated. This is always important, but is especially important during this of social distancing. Additionally, we need volunteers to call clients from our office to provide friendly visits by phone.
Donate paper goods/non-perishables to VAS for distribution to our neighbors who are in need.
Donate money to VAS. During these times of economic uncertainty, the need for monetary assistance from VAS will only increase. Please consider donating now. Any gift from you will help us help others. Donations may be made by check by mail or credit/debit card by phone or on our website.
